Step One: Let's Talk

We’ll start with a consultation call to chat about your vision and what makes your dog so very special to you. This is where I share pricing, options for the artwork you can enjoy after, and a bit about what to expect from the BarkHop Studio portrait experience for you and your dog! This is also where we talk about any special considerations — whether you're capturing your puppy's first portraits or honoring a senior dog's legacy, I'll tailor every detail to them. And it's the perfect opportunity to ask me all of the questions you might have!

Step 2: Booking Time

Once we're booked, you'll receive a detailed questionnaire to help me customize every detail of your session, plus a prep guide so you and your pup arrive feeling confident and ready for their big day. And if your dog needs a little extra time to warm up to new spaces, we can always arrange a quick studio visit beforehand.

Step Three: The Studio Experience

Your session takes place in a private, relaxed studio environment designed entirely with your dog in mind. We'll spend about an hour to an hour and a half capturing timeless portraits at a pace that feels right for your pup — with plenty of time to explore, settle in, and take breaks along the way. Whether it's a wiggly 10-week-old or a silver-muzzled senior, every session is tailored to capture your pup's personality and move at their pace.

Step Four: Proof Gallery & Artwork Design

Within three weeks of your session, you’ll receive a proof gallery to select your favorite images. After you’ve chosen your favorites, we’ll meet over a video call to walk through your images together and design the artwork that will live in your home.

This is your time to relive the experience, see your dog’s story come together, and choose the pieces that feel most meaningful to you.

Most clients invest between $800–$1800 on artwork with some choosing a simple collection and others investing more in statement wall art or album. I’ll guide you through every option so your final artwork feels just as special as the moments we captured.
